  Email Subscriptions

  It would be helpful – for high traffic blogs – to have a counter showing how many people have subscribed to the blog via email. Currently, the number is in the dashboard, only viewable to the blogger.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Do you want to display it as a bragging widget? Is that what you mean? (teasing) ;)

  Nah, just a small font in the same widget, showing the number :o)

  The number (higher of course) gives an impression of community around a blog.

  To give a better context to this idea (if developers are listening). Currently, after someone subscribes to the blog, the text on the widget says “You are subscribed to this blog “. Wouldn’t it be better if it would say “You and x others are subscribed to this blog via email”.

  This way, the visitor would see that everyday more people are gathering around so he/she is not alone.
