  My site is fictalk.com and I’ve read where you can have email subscriptions when you update your site.

  According to this: http://en.support.wordpress.com/blog-subscriptions/ the option is under the “Discussions” option but it’s not there for me. Do I have to install or add something first? My site is not hosted by WordPress but I have my own domain. Is that the reason this isn’t working for me?
