Blog Subscriptions excerpt only possible?

  I have recently tested the Blog Subscriptions widget and I really like it, but I just wished there was a way to only show a excerpt of the post so that the reader will visit back to our website. Does anybody know how to do this?

  I know this might be crazy but when a person views the email notification of the post, will it show up in my website’s blog stats?

  I don’t use the blog subscription widget but I do know where to set my RSS Feeds to “summary to deter content thieves. Settings > Reading
