Blog Subscriptions not possible for unregistered users?
-
on http://en.support.wordpress.com/blog-subscriptions/ it’s said that:
Any subscription made using an email address not associated with a WordPress.com account will be sent details of how to confirm and manage their subscriptions without needing to register at WordPress.com.My testing of the new blog subscripition widget seems to indicate that this is not true. My test-mailaccount, not being registered with wordpress.com, recieved a mail confirming his subscription. But after clicking the conformation-link in this mail, the user was required to login into wordpress.com for confirming his subscription. Which wouldn’t work, since the user isn’t registered with wordpress.
Can anyone help? Blog subscriptions would be verey useful for me, but only if it can be used by unregistered users.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Just tried to use the functionality. It does not seem to work for me neither. Sounds like the subscription feed can only be used by registered users…
