Blog Surfer-Connecting Private Blogs

Hi. I am running a few private blogs as part of a development project and would like some way of getting all my new post notifications from all of the blogs I run in one spot. I understand this is what Blog Surfer is supposed to do, but I can’t seem to get it to work between my private blogs. It simply says “blog not added: [blog name] is visible only to chosen users.” I made sure I was a chosen user, both of course being it’s admin, and even adding my username under the settings->privacy tab. Can anyone help? Thanks!

Sorry Blog surfer doesn’t work like that for private blogs.
If you want to be updated you’ll need to change the privacy settings.

i thought the whole point of “blog surfer” was “…particularly those with private blogs who you can’t subscribe to via RSS”

this is what it says verbatim at the top of the blog surfer page in the dashboard.

i’m trying to do the same as branflakesjack.

    any help?

That’s what I’m curious about as well – it says that it is specifically to help you keep up with WordPress.com blogs that you can’t subscribe to via RSS. Am I missing something here?

I’m actually experiencing one blog on my blogsurfer linking to a private blog when the blog isn’t private. When I click on the blog post it goes straight to a private blog asking me for a password. But the actual post the blog is located on isn’t private nor is the whole blog and it links to a different wordpress.com blog. Not a big deal as I can still access the blog, I just can’t click on that individual blog post when in blogsurfer. Hope this makes sense.
