blog takes me to directory view of blog?

  Hello, when I click on ‘view site’ it takes me to an ftp-like directory view… instead of (I’m assuming) index.php

  I had to click on wp-admin and then index.php to change any options.

  Is there a way to search these forums?

  Yes, you can use the search box at the top of the forum to search, but first I’d recommend you read the sticky thread called Read Me First, because if your blog is hosted at WordPress.com you don’t actually have php access.

  Oh, I am using WordPress.org, I downloaded and followed installation instructions, but when I try to view my blog it comes up as a directory structure instead.

  Then please read the thread I pointed you to. It’ll tell you we can’t help you because WordPress.com is quite different from WordPress.org.
