  I’m looking for a particular style of theme before I upgrade to the Premium account. What should my filter criteria be to find more layouts similar to this one? Can I use this layout with my premium purchase? If yes, how?

  In the Additional Info section of the theme you are looking at from Creative Market, it notes the following:

  The template is for WordPress self hosted platform exclusively.

  This means you would need to find a separate host for your site, and use software found at WordPress.org. Right now, your site is hosted by WordPress.com.

  While they might seem the same, there are crucial differences between WordPress.com and WordPress.org and how they function. You can get an overview here:

  I would suggest sticking with the setup you have now at WordPress.com and finding the right theme that works for you. WordPress offers many themes to choose from, and different ways to customize the layout to suit your needs: https://wordpress.com/themes

  Is there a particular feature or element you’d like to have in your theme? You can search by keyword to find the theme that’s right for you.

  You can change your theme by going to My Sites and clicking on Theme. Even more, you can look at a demo, or preview a theme by selecting the theme you’re interested in and clicking Try And Customize. More details on switching themes can be found here:
