Blog Title

I have discovered a non-WP blog with the same title as mine. Doesn’t this affect my search engine success? When I Google the blog title, the other one shows, not mine. Should I change my blog title and, if so, can I do this without having to change the URL?

Hi Marc – “Marc’s Blog” is probably a pretty common title, but it’s unlikely that people are finding you by Googling that exactly. They’re more likely to Google your full name or your book’s name, etc.
However, if it worries you, you can certainly change your blog title to something more unique. You can change that without changing the URL in Settings->General in your Dashboard.
As you build your traffic, your blog will climb in Google’s listings. We have more information about this here:

Thanks for responding. I think I will put this issue on “pause”…I was just upset that none of these people using the same title didn’t have the courtesy to check with me first…the nerve of some people! Regardless, I appreciate your taking the time to help…keep spreading the happiness!
