Blog title

  Somehow I screwed up and instead of a blog called ‘Behind the curtain’ My blog ended up as ‘bumthecurtain.wordpress.com’. Is there any way to change this before I start writing on it? Or a way to start a new blog with the appropriate title? Thanks.

  Hey, when you are logged into the admin section of your site go into the “Plan” tab on the sidebar, then into the “Domains” section, and click on the name of the domain you want to change. Click “Edit Site Address” and it will bring you to list of all the blogs you have with WordPress.com and you can click on “Change Blog Address” for the site you are changing. Follow the instructions there and read them carefully because it will permanent.

  Hello @zipthud,
  I can already see http://behindthecurtain.wordpress.com/, associated with your profile.

  If you are the admin of both http://bumthecurtain.wordpress.com/ and http://behindthecurtain.wordpress.com/, and want to get rid of http://bumthecurtain.wordpress.com/, then you can delete that site by following the instructions below:
  1. Go to My Sites → SWITCH SITE and select http://bumthecurtain.wordpress.com/. (Skip this step if you already have this site selected).
  2. Click Settings on the sidebar and scroll all the way to the bottom.
  3. Click Delete Site(make sure you have http://bumthecurtain.wordpress.com/ selected) and follow the successive prompts.

  NOTE: Deleting site will also delete the contents of the site which cannot be recovered again. Also, the address http://bumthecurtain.wordpress.com/ cannot be used again by anyone(not even by you). So delete the site only if you are sure that you are not gonna use this address again.

  If you do not want to delete the site and still do not want this site(http://bumthecurtain.wordpress.com/) to be public then you can private the site on your privacy settings.
