Blog title change

    I have 3 blogs. I changed the site title under General settings, and saved it. When I click on the drop down menu under “my blogs” it still shows the old title. If I click on it, it shows the new title on the dashboard page, and on the site itself….just not on the dropdown menu. How do I change this?

    Just wait a while. I think.

    Blog title and blog URL are different. You can change the blog title anytime you want here > Settings > General but if you wish to change the blog URL then you must purchase a domain name and domain mapping. Staff have provided information and instructions in support documentation.

    If you want to change the title of the blog (the text displayed in the title bar of a web browser and displayed in the header for most themes) instead, you can do so under General Settings. If you want to get rid of the “wordpress.com” part of your address, then you need to purchase a custom domain for your site. For more information read our support document on domain mapping. http://en.support.wordpress.com/changing-blog-address/

    Timethief;
    I don’t want to change the URL…I just renamed the blog’s title. The only place it won’t change is in the bar at the top of my wordpress account that has “My Account”, then “My Blogs”, “Blog Info, and “Subscribe”.
    Under “My Blogs” it still has the old name. However when I click on it, and it brings up the blog, it has the new name. I just want the dropdown menu to change? Thanks. You have helped me with another problem I had, and I appreciate you dealing with those of us that are not so computer savvy!

    Oh! Now I understand you. Maybe that will resolve over time and appear or maybe you will need Staff help. Staff won’t be available until March 2nd, 2011. If the change has not happened by then you can use this link to creat a support ticket. http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/
