Blog Title Not Showing

  Two problems on my new blog.

  1. The title does not show at the top. Only the tagline shows. I made a static homepage, a blog page to show new posts, and one post.

  2. On the post it says ‘uncategorized.’ But I made a category and put it in that category. It is not a child category.

  The title should say Cedar Court Gardens.

  Hi there,

  1. The title does not show at the top. Only the tagline shows. I made a static homepage, a blog page to show new posts, and one post.

  If you are using any image for logo. Title text will not be shown. If you remove the logo, you will see the title. So, it means you can use logo image or text as title for this theme. :)

  Uncategorized is the default category. To add category in menu,
  >Go to your_site->Appearance->Customize
  >On the next screen , click menus. Select your menu.
  >Click uncategorized and remove the item. Here is a screenshot which might help you
  >Click the “Add items” button. Click category type.
  Here you will find the category you added previously. Select that to add and make sure to click “Save changes” button.

  Thanks so much! That looks better! Another question: How do I add a child category to the menu? I cannot find any instructions for that.

  EXAMPLE: Post at https://cedarcourtgardens.wordpress.com/2022/01/22/fall-garden/

  I like Season 2021 (parent category) at top and Fall 2021 (child category) above title. How do I make Fall 2021 show in menu? Thanks.

  I solved my problem. I won’t need child categories at this point.
