Blog title not showing on browser tab for forwarded domain
-
I purchased a domain name from an external site, and am pointing it to my wordpress.com blog. The problem I am having is that if I go to the site by typing in the forwarded domain name (LiterarySeamstress.com), the blog/site title doesn’t show up on the tab in my browser. It also doesn’t have the wordpress favicon (the little W). The tab looks like this [ http:…..com/ ].
Whereas, if I type in literaryseamstress.wordpress.com, the title of my blog shows up in the tab, with no issues. [Literary Seamstress].
How do I correct this? Since wordpress won’t let me alter the html of my blog, I don’t know how to correct the title.
Any help is appreciated!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You need to go to settings > general and enter your blog title there for it to show in the tab and browser title bar. Then go to appearance > header and select to hide the title text.

The title is already entered in the settings>general section. Hence why it shows up when I go to the unforwarded url (literaryseamstress.blogspot.com).
This isn’t an issue of me not knowing how to enter my blog title. That was done prior to purchasing the forward domain url. The problem is with the forwarded domain url.
If you actually go to both domain urls, you can see what I am talking about.
I can’t get the title to show up on my browser tab when I use the forwarded domain url and I don’t know why or how to fix it since I can’t alter the theme script.
Again, any help is appreciated.

It is the difference between Domain Forwarding and Domain Mapping. To get the proper titles you will need to purchase the Domain Mapping upgrade to integrate your literaryseamtress.com name to your WordPress.COM site.

Your name resolves to netfirms
