Hi there,
I had to move my blog “florider360.com” to another client. everything worked good so far. the problem is that after I made the domaintransfer I cannot add my blog content to my domain. I tried to use the XML-File but there are just some pictures attached and all the other stuff is missing. Do you have an Idea how to solve that. Due to the amoutn of time I´m spending on that issue I guess it may be smarter to use your professional transfer offer via an happiness engineer. But before I`m going to purchase that I want to know if there might be problems of completing the transfer appropriately? Please let me know what should be the next step.

Hi Florian,
When you say that you are missing content, are you saying that after you did an export of your site here at WordPress.com and then imported it at your new WordPress.org site, nothing came over at all? Or were just some images missing from your original site?

thanks for your reply. when importing from the XML-File almost everything is missing. just some images and one video file.
is there a possibillity to make a different backup containing all files? -
We cannot create an export file with all of the media files, I’m afraid. However you may be running in to issues with your hosting account experiencing timeouts while trying to download the material from WordPress.com.
You can contact your hosting provider to see if they are able to increase your PHP memory and timeouts to allow the import process to complete. When you try again, I would recommend that you grab a fresh export from your site here at WordPress.com and that you clear out the posts on your new site so that it is importing in to a clean installation.

where do I have the option to download all my files, or most of them? Just with a single XML-file?
by now I´m totally confused and lost and I`d just like to let someone who knows what to do complete my transfer as far as possible. I´m just wasting time and I guess I wont be able to do it myself. even all the things in the control panel at the new provider are killing me…
I´m just afraid that it can´t be done the way I imagined.
do you want to try to complete the transfer or know someone else? the problem is as well that my blog at wordpress will expire at the end of the month.

We are not able to log in to your account with your new hosting providers and do your transfers for you. Our Guided Transfer product uses a different set of tools which creates and accesses your account in a different way, and is only available with certain hosting companies.
In regard to your original question, we don’t have a bulk download option for your files, as WordPress.com is not meant to be a resource for file storage.
I have done a new export of your site and am emailing you separately with a link to it. I would recommend that you clear out your new WordPress.org installation completely and give this new export a try, just in case there was something wrong with the old one.
