Blog Transfer Issues

Hi,
I own the blog I am wanting to transfer to a new owner at http://bethoumyvision.wordpress.com as I switched to a new one awhile back. However, I had either created a second WordPress user name or changed my name to the one that I now use (it was a few years ago and I can’t remember how I did so). The original one is no longer on this blog, which was the owner username (bethoumyvision I think or whichever is associated with (email visible only to moderators and staff); hopefully I had no changed the email!). Both are/were me.
Because of deleting myself or changing my username, I cannot transfer my blog to the new owner as the option is unavailable. I have added the new owner an administrator, thinking I could just delete myself or they could, but it is not working.
Could you get my bethoumyvision blog transferred to them and my user removed from it? The new owner is to be reflectionsintheword.

It sounds like your best bet would be to talk to the account recovery team.

Already tried the form but gave up doing so as I never used any of the stuff they ask to verify for proof. The only proof I have is that both are me–the owner account that is now gone and my current account. Is there a way I can at least have WordPress delete my current username from the blog as I am no longer using it?

Also an important note: The account I had that was considered the owner of the blog is no longer listed on the blog AT ALL under users. Is that even possible? It seems then that account recovery would do no good. So there is no user with above-admin privileges on my blog now so I can be able to transfer the blog, which is no help. How can this even happen?
And I don’t have the email account anymore or the password for that account, the email I deleted after I got married since my last name changed, and I have, as I said before, nothing that they consider useful to prove it was my account, making account recovery impossible to use for help. This is very frustrating.

Again, I’m sorry for the frustration. But due to security issues, account recovery cannot be done in the forums. You need to talk to the Account Recovery team using the form I like to above. If there is any chance of recovering access to an account that you have lost control of, that is where it will be.

Even if that account is no longer apart of the blog in question at all? That does not make sense as, even if i could access the account, the blog would not be listed in My Sites/Blogs for that account… Just want to make sure you understand this part.

Please use the account recovery form so Account Recovery Staff can contact you off this public support forum where every thread is instantly indexed by Google and made available to all with internet access.

Account recovery is the path you need to take. It is a security risk to have this sort of discussion in the public view of these forums.
