Blog transfer not going through

    I’m trying to transfer a blog to a fried. She is already an administrator for this blog. I clicked on the ‘transfer blog’ option in the dashboard, confirmed at the big red box, and entered the new owner’s email address. I waited for the confirmation email and it never came, so I changed the email address associated with my account from my webmail to my hotmail account. Then I tried again. Still no email. I tried a third time, but entered the recipient’s username rather than her email address. Nada.

    The next morning, my friend sent me a note that she had three messages from wordpress directing her to the dashboard for this blog. There is a big red box that says that the attempt to transfer failed, please contact Support. That is a not-funny joke, as the Support Team is apparently away on a brainstorming retreat for a week. Yikes!!@@ In the absence of adult supervision, does anyone out there have any strategies for how to deal with this before they return on March 1? I had a session scheduled for this weekend to work on this project with the (anticipated) new owner.

    I have flagged this thread so it gets Staff attention. Sometimes the email notices are found in email spam filters so please check yours.

    Yes, I thought of posting a follow-up to note that I did check the junk folder on both email accounts, and there was nothing of interest in either one. I also did just try deleting my friend from the users, then adding her back in, then trying to transfer. Still no luck. I did note though that she does not have a name displaying in the dashboard (either before or after I deleted/added her) so I don’t know if that has any relevance.

    Yowza! The matrix shifted! The blog has been transferred. I never did get an email so I have to assume the support team kick started it – thanks so much, we’re psyched!
