Blog update on LAN connection and replicate to internet

    Hi,

I’m planning to setup a WP Corporate Blog for my company. Due to security concerns (user id and password will be stored in MySQL), is it possible to update the blog posts through LAN (using LDAP authentication) and replicate it to the internet through the web server? Do I need to setup 2 separate databases on both servers?

I understand that WP has a secured admin login using https:// , but I’m not sure how it works. I’ve only some experience setting up WP blogs within the local company network using LDAP authentication.

    Please help, thank you.

If it’s self-hosted, you can set up your MySQL database to allow remote access, but I don’t see any way to do this if it’s a wordpress.com blog. Also, questions about self-hosted blogs should be on the wordpress.org forum and not here.
