I created a new blog but then deleted it, as i wanted to use a different email for that blog I deleted. I signed up new and then when I typed the name of the deleted blog it does not come up. I presume it is classed as already taken. However, I originally had that name i deleted it myself. Is there any way i can get that name back? I thought if i deleted the blog then the name would be available. I am the owner of that name I just wanted to use a separate account to manage the blog.

Unfortunately, once a website is deleted you cannot retrieve its URL address, which means that the action can’t be undone nor you can’t re-use the URL related to the deleted site. That is done to respect bloggers’ ownership of their content – for example, in case another user would like to take the same former address of another user that has closed that site.
There are a few exceptions which fall into the recycling URL site address, however I’m afraid your case may not be one of these to me.
