    Someone currently has the URL I would like to have for my website, however their website is not completed and has not been updated in months. Is there any way I can use their URL since they are inactive? Is there a way for me to contact them and ask if I can use it?

    Hi there,

    We cannot reassign an existing address under any circumstances. It does not matter whether the current owner is using it or not. They are the owner, and only they can transfer it to someone else.

    Recycling Blog Addresses (URLs)

    If the site has comments enabled, you can try leaving a comment to ask the owner if you can have the address, but we cannot provide you with any contact details for the current owner, nor contact them on your behalf.
