Blog URL Name Change

  Hi!

  Tonight I began creating my blog. While I was studying abroad I had a WordPress, but since that was some time ago now, I decided that I wanted to make a completely new account in order to make my new blog. My old username was ShinjuPanda. I opened my old account to view something and I accidentally created my blog, ‘Simply Sunflowers,’ there. I realized only later that my new account, ‘MaggiesSunflowers,’ where I wanted to create ‘Simply Sunflowers,’ was actually created with the URL ‘simplysunflowersblog’ due to my mistake in placing the SimplySunflowers URL on the ShinjuPanda account.

  I went through and deleted the blog off of my ShinjuPanda account, but the system is still registering it as being active and the name unavailable. Will I be able to change simplysunflowersblog.wordpress.com to just simplysunflowers.wordpress.com? I really would be so thankful to remove the ‘blog’ part from the URL, so I appreciate any help or advice that you can give!

  Hi! Thanks for your help.

  I’ve already tried to change the blog address and have read through many of the subsequent support threads.

  The problem that I’m running into is that the address I’d like to change it to is still registering as taken even though I’ve deleted the address that it was taken by. Will that address be available for me to change my blog to at a later time when the system recognizes the deleted blog?
