  How do I find the ower of an inactive blog. I want to use the following URL but it is owned by someone that has never posted in 3 years: http://thebusinessarchitect.wordpress.com/

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  You will have to try and contact the owner yourself via the blog and ask if they’d transfer the blog to you (deleting it would render it useless as URL’s are not recycled). Other than that there is nothing WordPress can do because there is no obligation for anyone to use their blog and WordPress do not pass on personal contact details to others.

  The comments are open on the placeholder post, so you could leave a comment asking the owner to get in touch with you. It’s a long shot bet, but worth a try.

  Keep in mind that there are reasons that someone would set up a blog and then never actually post.

  In order to access jetpack lots of wordpress.org folks have set up wordpress.com accounts.

  Another reason could be that the owner of the account wants to view by invitation another person’s private blog.

  The instructions about setting up an account are a bit confusing so not everyone understands that it is not necessary to set up a blog in order to have an account.

  As far as your wish to use the name is concerned that does not matter. Even without a blog, the username would be reserved and not usable by you.
