Blog viewing error and possible unauthorized charge on account

My blog seems to be down?? I do not update it often but that has always been the case, unfortunately :) I logged in this morning to look over things and I am getting an error page. I can not access my posts online at all . . . I can access them via my dashboard but not live on the web.

Also, I see there was a purchase made back in April . . . can you tell me more about that? We have always had a free wordpress account

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    actually our blog is girlswithpearls.wordpress.com

  • Hi there – It looks like you mapped the subdomain blog.girlswpearls.com to your blog in April. This is a $13 per year upgrade. But the subdomain itself was not actually pointed to your blog, but to that page you were seeing. I set your original URL back to primary so your blog is visible:
    http://girlswithpearls.wordpress.com/

Would you like me to just remove that subdomain altogether?

    Thanks :)

My business partner set that up a while ago and I just completely forgot. . . We do want to keep the custom URL but how do we point the subdomain back to our blog?

  • Hi there – You’ll need to have your registrar (Melbourne IT) help you set up a CNAME to point that subdomain to WordPress.com, as described here:
    Map a Subdomain

Let me know if you have further questions!
