blog visibility
-
I would like to set my public blog to private while I am changing things around. Changing theme, maybe add some images etc. Is there a way to do it?
This page http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/ says this:“Changing a Blog with Followers from Public To Private
If you had your blog set to public, but you’d like to make it private instead, you can change the settings to private at any time by following the instructions in this support document. If you have followers on your blog, they will no longer be able to view your site by visiting it directly unless you invite them as a viewer. They will also no longer receive new content you publish in Reader; however, content that you published when your site was public might still be viewable.”
But the link to the support document directs back to his very same page. Not very helpful :-)
Any ideas?
Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. My blog

The support document directs to the same page but to the Site Visibility Options section. You can choose the third option:
I would like my site to be private, visible only to myself and users I choose to make your site private :-) -
Hi chaitanyamsv, thanks for the response!
I changed that setting and I specifically checked, but the blog is still visible even though I am logged out. Posts cannot be seen, because I made their status private. Not because the blog visibility has been changed.
So visitors will still be able to see any change I am making to the site design, which is not what I want.
Maybe have them end up at some standard 404 error page. Like I have my blog turned off.
I hope I am making any sense
