Blog visits from China?

  Hello everyone,

  I’m running my little blog from the UK. Some of my students where I teach are sending the link to friends / colleagues in China (and other countries). I’ve had visits from around 35 countries so far, which I’m really pleased about.

  I was just wondering if anyone would know:

  a) If my blog is accessible in China?, and
  b) Should visits from China show up on my stats?

  As ever, all advice is most gratefully received.

  Hi there,

  We don’t block traffic from any countries, so from our end people from China is definitely able to access your site.

  However, the Chinese government is known to regulate the internet within that country, and they could be preventing people from accessing your site. We have no way of knowing what sites are being blocked at what times, though. I can tell you that I’ve also had the occasional view from China on my blog, so it does happen.
