Blog vs Google Search
-
I’ve got some slightly bizarre rankings, perhaps somebody can shed light.
My blog (tagged vgsummit2007) gets on the first page of Google when you search in Google (main site) for “vgsummit2007”), but doesn’t seem to get spidered by Google’s “Beta Blog Search” at all. Is it an interval thing? Is that adaptive? Are WP tags properly processed by Google but not by Beta Blog Search Google?

Moved to support.
I’m guessing that we’re talking about http://petersmagnusson.com/
Looks like it’s being spidered to me.
edit: I see your blog listed by that tag as well.
reedit: It’s been suggested that google’s blogsearch will only pick up on one single post outputted from a specific blog is you’re an occasional blogger. If you write more than once a day, every day, blogsearch will pick up on it but this looks like teh case. Both of your posts with that tag are dated today and right off those are the only posts with that tag on your blog.

Did you register with Google Blogsearch? I think they only cover blogs that have registered with them. Google search itself covers the entire web, but blogsearch is I think limited, like Technorati, to blogs that have registered with them.

It didn’t pick up raincoaster.com until I registered, although it had raincoaster.wordpress.com.

Blog search picks up all blogs, usually. ~None of my blogs are registered but they’re picked up, but a friend of mine is registered and hers still arent being picked up. Guess thats why its still in beta :)
