blog widget?

hey, is there a widget for our blogs? i.e., something we can add to another page, like facebook for example?

I found a widget of a music artist I like,Bryn Christopher (see it here:
http://www.brynchristopher.com/, and I put it on my Facebook page. I wish I had a djeddie.wordpress.com widget I could put there too.don’t know if the widget would show here

That’s Flash, and it will not work here.
All you have to do to have the widget you want is to make an image and format it as a link to your blog, then copy the code and post it as code. That way your readers could copy the code and paste it into a text widget on their blogs, and it would show up as a button with a link to your site.

I wonder if I could utilize the code-writing features of my blog to create it? By that, I mean create a draft post with an image that links to my own blog (wordpress makes this so simple with “add an image” and “link image to”), then I could switch my post view from Visual to HTML and copy the code to post in Facebook………
