Blog won't show up

Hello. I tried to use Google Apps for email, but canceled it once I found out you have to pay. I had gone through setting up the DNS on here, though. I deleted that, but now my blog is showing an old version from when it was hosted on Blogspot. I logged into Namecheap, where I bought the domain, and tried to set up the DNS to point to WordPress.com, but now when I go to http://www.rebeccamckeownwrites.com, an error message comes up saying: “This webpage has a redirect loop
The webpage at http://rebeccamckeownwrites.com/ has resulted in too many redirects. Clearing your cookies for this site or allowing third-party cookies may fix the problem. If not, it is possibly a server configuration issue and not a problem with your computer.”Help! How do I get my blog back?

At Namecheap, did you point the nameservers to WordPress?

Hi kraftbj, I did point them to WordPress. I also transferred the DNS back to Namecheap. Could that be why I’m having issues?

http://rebeccamckeownwrites.com/ loads fine for me now – if you changed the name servers today – it can take 24 to 72 hours for changes to reach the far corners of the internet –

Thanks, auxclass. It no longer has the error message for me, but it goes back and forth between the old Blogger site (white and pink site with my “About” on the homepage) and my new WordPress site (multicolored background, slider, blog posts on homepage).
Which do you see, if you don’t mind looking again. I currently see the Blogger one.

Ahh! I think I figured something out, but I’m not sure how to fix it. When I go to http://www.rebeccamckeownwrites.com, it’s the Blogger site. When I go to http://rebeccamckeownwrites.com, it’s WordPress.
Does anyone know how I can make it so www also goes to wordpress? Should I delete the blog on Blogger?

@auxclass – I’m pulling up a site, but it appears to be her old blogger site.
@rebecca – That’s likely why. At namecheap, the nameservers should be set to ns1.wordpress.com, ns2.wordpress.com, ns3.wordpress.com. Once so, you won’t use namecheap for anything related to DNS (only to continue the domain’s registration).
It appears to me that perhaps the nameservers are correct now, but as aux mentioned, it can take a few days for the change to promulgate.
During that time, you can get screwy results—like jumping back and forth between the two—as the new nameserver information is promulgated throughout the Internet.
When was the last time you changed the nameservers?

That’s likely a side effect of the change; it’ll resolve itself.
The Internet works by one server having the true knowledge of where a site is located (e.g. the nameserver). To keep the Internet moving quickly, other servers across the globe cache that information for, in theory, up to 3 days. When the cache expires, it’ll request the updated information.
For me, both URLs is pulling up blogger, so my DNS cache has your old nameservers across the board. For you, one was cached with the old, the other had expired/refreshed after the final change.
Just hang tight.

Before just now? Last night when I changed them to use an email though Google Apps. Before that? Maybe a year ago when I first transferred to WordPress.

Thanks, everyone! I guess I need to take a deeeeeppp breath and wait. I just freaked out because I’m releasing a book soon and need my site! Also, I had no idea how to fix my site if I really had screwed it up, which made me, of course, freak out haha. Again, thanks for all the help and insight, everyone! Hopefully everything will be back to normal soon.

DNS cache, according to spec, could stay valid for 72 hours. Most of the time, it’s something like 2, 12 or 24 hours.
I completely understand. Many of us have had to sit in patient vigil for the DNS process to work. :-)
