  Hi there, I’m totally out of my depth & have literally zero knowledge on how these things work! 😅 Trying to figure out how I start to write my own blogs that I can then transfer onto my social media Facebook pages etc. I don’t have a website or a domain with anyone as yet… do I need one to write blogs? Start up business & currently in debt so no finances at present to invest in a website 🙁

  Hi,
  Wordpress is the best user friendly platform. Don’t worry if you are new or have very small knowledge.

  To write blog, if you dont want to buy any domain. Dont worry. WordPress will let you have shared domain. :)

  Please follow below steps:

  Got to the link -> https://wordpress.com/start/domains

  Type a domain name in searchbox.

  When the result appear you will find a domain name -> your_typed_name.wordpress.com
  -This is free and provided by wordpress

  Choose the “your_typed_name.wordpress.com”

  When you select the domain name browser will take you to “Choose a plan” page.

  Below “Choose a plan” you will find a text which is as below
  “Pick one that’s right for you and unlock features that help you grow. Or start with a free site.”
  Click on the link “start with a free site”

  After clicking you will be take to the home page
  Then you will have to follow some small steps

  -Give your site a name
  -Update your homepage
  -Customize your site menu
  -Confirm your email address
  -Try the WordPress app(You can skip this step)
  -Launch your site to the world

  As soon as you launch the site you will be taken to a page from where scrolling down you will find skip purchase option.

  After clicking skip purchase->Click “start with a free site.”

  Then you are live to share your post at any platform. :)
