Blogger Import Problems

  When I tried to import from Blogger, all the titles of the posts showed up, as well as names of people who left comments, but the posts and comments themselves are empty.

  We’ll need to completely empty your blog so you can try again, but would you please answer these two questions first?

  1. Is http://newenglandpastor.wordpress.com/ the blog you has trouble importing to?

  2. Does http://newenglandpastor.wordpress.com/ only contain imported posts?

  Thanks! Here are the answers to the two questions:

  1. Yes.

  2. Yes and no. I actually edited the one that was posted today. Since it was empty and I wanted it up, I manually added the text from the other blog. So I am not sure how that would affect things.

  I tried to empty the blog a few times before, but nothing seemed to work.

  I have emptied your blog as requested.

  Please try the import again, but this time use a Blogger export file, not the direct importer.

  Okay, I tried the export file/importer technique before and it didn’t work (though the blog wasn’t emptied yet). Now I just tried to do it again and it says, “Your file has been successfully uploaded. We will begin processing your import right away.” But I didn’t yet import the xml file. Does this mean it is just using the file it had from before that I already tried to upload?

  Okay, I was able to upload it again but now it looks like the comments aren’t there at all. Otherwise, the posts are all up, I think. Will it just take a little while to get it all working?

  I am having the exact same problem, and I can’t find where my post went on the support page.
