Blogger Import Tool Stopped Working, And No XML Option

    Up until a couple of weeks ago, I was able to use the Blogger import tool on our wordpress.org site (weareowa.com, which is private until it can be fully switched over). The tool never worked very well, and took a very long time to upload all the content. Then it stopped working altogether.

    I go to my WP site, go to the Admin Panel > Tools > Import >Blogger, it asks me to click the “Authorize” button, then select my Google account that my blogger blog is associated with. After I do that, I get “Sorry this page can’t be found” : https://support.google.com/a/answer/6224347?p=oauth&rd=1 (not sure if this page will work unless you’re signed into my account, but just in case).

    I know my Blogger site is up and running and is still associated with the email address I used, so everything is good on Google’s end.

    Next, I tried to import the manual way: download the XML file from Blogger to export the blog and all the comments, as per instructions from WordPress: https://en.support.wordpress.com/import/coming-from-blogger/

    I am taken to the same activation button — there is absolutely no place to upload my xml file to import my Blogger blog manually into WP.

    So nothing is working anymore, and I’m not sure why! Is anyone else having this problem or found a work around?

    Unfortunately, this isn’t the right WordPress forum to help with your problem. This forum is for blogs hosted here on WordPress.com. There’s another forum for blogs like yours that are hosted elsewhere using the WordPress.org software. Please repost your question at: https://wordpress.org/support/

    HI Micawbr — I thought that was the case, but I kept getting directed here from WordPress help articles, so I thought they just used all one forum. Thank you for showing me an actual link of where to go!
