Blogger Is Hopeless – Now I Cant Get WordPress To Understand Me

    I signed up for my free blog with “yesterdaystreasurestoday”,. My name is Judy I am from England. I have been looking at the templates and picked a neutral one which will highlight my vintage costume jewellery colours.

    BUT

    There is every option under the sun on this sandy coloured plain template but NOWHERE does it say ‘select me’ to choose it. I did say I liked it as it asked me. But cant get any further.

    I have a ton of blogs to ship over from that sinking ship of Blogger which is useless. I hope someone can help please.

    Judy, in your dashboard, go to appearance > themes and locate the theme that you want to use. You can use the search box and search for the name to make it easier. Once you find that theme, underneath the screenshot, click the “activate” link and it will activate the theme on your site.

    There is an import function to import your stuff from Blogger. That will be located under tools > import in your dashboard.

    And if this is the blog you were trying to get, yesterdaystreasurestoday.wordpress.com , it appears like perhaps you signed up for the username only. To get that blog, in your global dashboard, go to “dashboard” “register a new blog” and then put in that name. Since you signed up for that username, that blog name/URL has been reserved for you.

    Where is the dashboard? As I too cannot find the “activate” button on the theme I have selected for my blog. This is my first blog.
