  Why is it that any comments I leave are being hailed as my sign-in user name, and not my nickname, which is what I would expect (given that I did select the option of being called that name from the dropdown menu)?? I’m very confused.

  Using the nickname is a two-step process. First you add it to the drop-down, then save. Then you have to go back and select it.

  Your username in the forum will always be the first one you started with, for congruity’s sake. We need to know who we’re talking to. But it will change on subsequent blog posts and comments.
