blogger to wordpress widget problem

  • Unknown's avatar

    Hi,
I just switched from Blogger to WordPress, and some widgets from blogger imported to my wordpress blog and i can’t get rid of them–they don’t show up in the widgets area of editing! there’s a “drop me a line” contact form at the bottom of every page. How can I make that go away?

    Thanks!

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi there,

The “drop me a line” box to which you refer is actually your comments box. If you’d like to turn it off for all future posts you can do so by following these instructions: http://en.support.wordpress.com/enable-disable-comments/

You’ll note at the bottom of the instructions, that you’ll have to turn the comments off on your existing pages manually. There is a bulk feature so you don’t have to do them one at a time, but it can’t be done all at once. Sorry!

Let me know if that answers your question or if there are any other oddities you’ve notice in the transition.
