Blogging by Email via Jetpack —- pictures in postings are resized 'the wrong way'
-
Hi,
I am trying to get my brand new blog to work – hereby, blogging by email is a very nice and convenient feature for me 🙂
However – I have a problem.
When I send an email with a photo which is smaller than the maximum size visible in the blog, it resizes to this maximum size, making it look very blurred of course, because it has “gigantic pixels”.
I can “repair” this when I go the blog dashboard and edit the posting, resetting the photo properties, but this is not what I want, and it takes away all the convenience of blogging by email…
Anything I can do about this?
Here’s an example… http://usa17.inkaweb.de/wordpress/2016/11/13/ganz-kleines-bild/
I’d appreciate any kind of hint to solve the problem 🙂
Thank you!!!!

Hi @alcyonesblog, these forums are mainly for the sites here at WordPress.com, but I’ll help if I can: I understand Jetpack will just show an image inline as a full-width image unless you attach more than one. This would indeed cause smaller images to stretch.
If you’ll go to the forums for Jetpack, you may be able to find a workaround there:
https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/jetpack/If the images you’re attaching will always be very small, you might also create a workaround with CSS. I hope that helps!

Hi,
and thank you for your note!
I had already posted on the other forum as well – and I have since been told it is a bug, and they are working on it… :)
Thanks for getting back to me!Inge
