Blogging by Note?
-
Is it possible to use the ‘send to blog’ features of applications such as Chronos Notes (on Mac) to add blogs to WP?
It is possible to add to Blogger/Typepad directly through adding something like:
https://www.blogger.com/atom or
http://www.typepad.com/t/atom/weblogWhat do we need to use to do the same with WP?

A link to whatever Chronos Notes is might have been helpful. :)
You’ll have to check with Chronos Notes to see what it supports. WordPress supports posting via XML-RPC via the xmlrpc.php file and in Blogger, MetaWeblog, and the Moveable Type API formats. Folks here use Echo, w.Blogger and Blogdesk to list as examples. Here’s the page in the codex covering it with links to the different APIs.

Happily:
http://www.chronosnet.com/Products/sohonotes.htmlNo idea what most of the things you mention are – but I will try and get Chronos to let us know…
Thanks so far…

A quick search with Google shows folks using the software to make posts but no walkthru on actually how to do it.
Someone bump this in about an hour. IIRC Posting with Atom is for Atom 1.0 and I can’t remember if WP supports that or not.

Trying the xmlrpc feed with the Mac WordPressDash widget, I was able to get that working ok from within the Dashboard Widget, so:
http://username.wordpress.com/xmlrpc.php
works there – but not yet with the Chronos Notes upload screen, so it is clearly not xmlrpc.I cant find an atom way of doing it, but as you see from the first post, it looks like that is what Notes needs…
Thanks so far Mike.

Any further news on whether WordPress is ‘atom’ feed friendly yet? (See first post in this thread…)
Or plans as to whether it might become so?
TIA
