Blogging. How to get it out to others.

  Just written my first blog, saved it. What do I do next to get it out to other bloggers who might be interested in my ideas there? Did get through to a page with suggestions like which categories to place it under(any suggestions?) and also tried to ‘publish it’ but couldn’t find how to upload the text. It just had my title heading and no text. How do I solve this? Tech talk etc is a mystery to me, so any assistance would be welcomed…
