Blogging while in Kenya, E. Africa

I will travel from America to Kenya, E. Africa for 10 days from Feb 20 until Feb 28. I will be staying in a village that has power. I want to take my laptop in order to post while there. What is the process to get connected? Is there a fee?

It sounds like you’ll have some pretty amazing blog posts writing from Kenya. WordPress.com itself should work from that location, but how to get on the internet from your location is probably beyond the scope of this forum since it’s more about the WordPress.com service and features.
It’s my understanding that Kenya is rolling out a pretty large wireless networking infrastructure. But, the technology, availability and pricing will probably depend on where you will be.
I’d suggest Googling for Internet access and the name of the village you’ll be staying to see if you can dig up a website for a local internet provider you can contact for more information.
