Bloggy theme – loads very slowly

    Hello

    My blog is made using Bloggy, and the CSS has been customized.

    The blog loads verrrrry slowly, from many browsers and computers, ipads etc.

    Is there a way to optimize my CSS code so that the blog loads faster?

    Hi Karen, you are using a lot of images in your posts, and with your “blog” page set to show 50 posts at Settings > Reading, it is causing your site to load slowly. Since your posts are heavy on images, I would suggest setting your site to show 3 posts at Settings > Reading.

    I checked a few of your images for file size, and they are a bit on the large side. You may want to review our support page on Image Optimization and in the future keep your images at around 100-150k in file size.

    Thank you!!!! Just changing the Settings > Reading to 3 posts made a HUGE difference in performance. :)

    Moving forward I will also make the image file sizes smaller.
