  It looks like Bloglovin’ recently changed the way their embed code works. More on that here: https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/bloglovin-widget-only-displaying-html-text?replies=7#post-2410465

  As WordPress.com does not support JavaScript code this may prevent you from claiming your blog. As I mentioned in the other thread I’ll see if there is anything that we can do on our end.

  Just to give you a quick follow up, users will not be able to insert the badge/widget that Bloglovin’ now provides but they will still be able to claim their sites. Here are the instructions on how to claim your WordPress.com with Bloglovin’
