Blog/Picture Icon Difficulties

    Although my icons/favicons show up on the tab, they do not show on the Administration panel to the left. Their is just a black square. Also, they do not show on https://wordpress.com/sites page, just blank squares in the middle of my four blogs. One blog favicon does not show when I bookmark it, but the others show when bookmarked. On a couple of blogs, the favicon has disappeared from media although they still show on tab. On all blogs, in admin/settings/general the blog/picture icon states no file selected. When I try and upload one and crop it, nothing happens and the no file selected remains unchanged.
