  Hello,
  my friend and I are starting a blog together. We want to arrange them under different categories (travel, lifestyle, fashion, food) so that people can find all posts from one category more easily (on the home page)
  But we don’t know how to do this.
  It would be great if you can help us.

  You can add categories using the Category module; this will be on the left side when you are editing your post.

  You can also add those categories to your menu:
  https://en.support.wordpress.com/category-pages/
