Blogroll
-
I just started blogging on WordPress this week, and my blog doesn’t show anything in the blogroll. In fact, Blogroll doesn’t even show up in the sidebar!
I’ve got links and everything from when I go to the manage blogroll, and I can add a URL just fine, unlike some of the other members whose questions I’ve read. They still are in the add link screen, but I don’t seem to be able to get the blogroll to show up on my posts’ page!
Am I doing something wrong?
Thanks,
On the Mark Writing -

If you have not assigned a category to each of your links even just “blogroll” then they will not display when you place the links widget in the sidebar. Could this be your problem?

Timethief – This sounds like what my problem is. I don’t know what happened to my blogroll widget – Did I delete it by mistake? Is there another place where I can get it back?

The blogroll widget is actually called the “Links” widget. Blogroll=Links.
Could you provide a link to your blog, too, so we can see what you have in your sidebar, please? Your username is linked to a site outside wordpress.com.

Judy – Yeah, I found that the widget is called “Links.” But thanks. I don’t know why I didn’t figure that one out sooner! (Sometimes I’m in my own little world.)
My blog can be found at http://onthemarkwriting.wordpress.com . The other site to which you referred is the website of my business, On the Mark Writing. Its url is
http://onthemarkwriting.com, in case you wanted to know.If you, or anyone else, have any ideas about how I can really make my blog pop with excitement, feel free to make a recommendation.

Please change the link on your username to your WP.com blog. The other site has no relevance here, and we save a lot of time by clicking on names to check out problems on the blog.
There’s a “Critique my blog” thread in the off-topic forum if you want to ask for feedback.
