Blogroll accidentally deleted
-
I deleted my blogroll from the “categories” area. However I wasn’t aware of what it
was and thought it had been some misplaced post of mine. Only at a later time
I found out it was where i had my links to other blogs. The thing is the links
still show on the edit panel for the blogroll, but the blogroll no longer
shows in the blog. How can I make it show again? -
try making a new blogroll category? if your links doesnt show then you should have to add the links to your new blogroll category.

Isn’t there a default where all the bookmarks go to even if the blogroll has been deleted? I forgot now but once I deleted something and it went somewhere else where I had to delete it again. I think. It was a while ago.

hmm, you could be right nosy. in that case all savage needs to do is renamed that category into blogroll. but if the links are mixed up with posts he has to change them one by one

Okay bluesavage as luck would have it yours is a new blog. You’ve got three categories and one is called “uncategorized” and you’ve got 7 posts up, so hopefully you didn’t have many links in your blogroll.
Check this out please
-> dashboard -> options -> writing
Do you see how you have a default category here for “bookmarks” well bookmarks are the links in your blogroll. If you forget to give one a category then it goes into a default category. So like nosy and sulz point out you need to create a default category and then redo any that you have in your posts.

Thanks to everyone who replied =)
I eventually succeeded in creating a new Blogroll category. Don’t ask how,
I think I just created a new category and named it “Blogroll” and
that was it.Thank you all, once again.

In the future, if you don’t have a record of all that you’ve lost, you might want to google the blog and check the cached version. It will still have the links.
