blogroll explanation

  I am new to WordPress. I have been reading a number of screens and I am still not sure about blogrolls. I posted today and used checkboxes from my previous post to identify today’s categories. One box that I left unchecked was blogroll. I think it means I can include URL’s for sites I particularly like or visit frequently. I seem to remember seeing some simple instruction, but I have not been able to find it. I hope this is a very simple question. Perhaps you can refer me to a page that will explain the basic idea. I will try to learn these new things one at a time. Thank You.

  Blogroll is just the links that you like. WordPress defaults to the preset links in the blogroll category but you are free to use any category that you want.

  You can also email other blogs similiar to yours for a link exchange on each other’s blogrolls. This usually helps with getting more traffic to your site.
