Blogroll fails to display publicly

My long established blogroll links (3 categories) are visible to me whilst I’m in the editing web site role but when I (and others) view the web-site in the public view, the blogroll is not shown.
This fault first materialised 24hrs ago after adding a new link in the blogroll. I have removed this link but the fault remains.

I have checked out all the category details and saved / updated each set of links – all to no avail.

I have also checked the settings in Appearance > Widgets > 1st, 2nd and 3rd Footer section.

I have just discovered that this failure to display the blogroll footer links I’ve created only applies to viewing the Home Page. on all other pages the blogroll is visible for public viewing t all times.

I see from other users this “fault condition” coincides with a change imposed 8 Feb 2011 by WordPress whereby footers no longer appear on the Home Page in the TwentyTen and TwentyEleven theme. Cna we get this change modified please ?

  • We are still looking into an option for that.

For now, I recommend trying a sidebar widget.

Many thanks – I can get by for the moment by adding a Note at the bottom of the HOME Page about this “temporary” (I hope) problem and that the Footers are visible on all other pages of the web-site

Judging by the high level of clamour reaction from your Users, may I suggest you put out a general statement that you are working on a solution.
