Blogroll links R Catgrzd-But No BLOGROLL on Side
-
My Blogroll is not appearing on the side now that I’ve tried to do it as a widget.
Every link has a category-“blogroll.”How do I get it to list my links under the blogroll on my site
http://pummeledbyadoringfans.wordpress.comThey are all in the Dashboard: blogroll:Manage blogroll. & All categorized as “Blogroll”
Pls help if you can… THANK YOU!!!!! Jenny

You must assign at least one category, even if it’s just “blogroll” to each link you enter into your blogroll. Then you must place the Links widget in the sidebar as I already described in the other thread. https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic.php?id=14392&page&replies=20#post-104879
The fact that I can see “Blogroll” in your sidebar and that you can see the links you entered into your blogroll in the admin section suggests that you have not assigned a category to those links. Go back into your Blogroll in your admin section edit each link and assign a category to it.
If it turns out that you have assigned categories to the links and they are still not displaying in your sidebar then you will need staff help. On weekends staff only deal with urgent matters and they decide what’s urgent. You have two choices – wait until Monday and submit a support ticket http://wordpress.com/contact-support/ or, send an email to support@wordpress.com

Oh, forgot. The other advice posti just read said to make a category called “Blogroll” I thought that meant re-naming the category box in the widgets as blogroll.
Phew sorry! You probably think we are all idiots.
Thx! -

You’re not an idiot. You are new. There’s a lot of difference between the two now isn’t there … lol. When I began blogging a year ago everything had to be repeated to me at least twice. Like any newbie I wanted instant answers and I was loathe to slow down and read. Please read the information at the links I gave you because all of this stuff is covered in them. :)

I switched to working on my other blog.

YAY!
There are many disabled and challenged people in cyberspace. This medium sets us free to achieve our full potential in a way that no other can do.
Here’s some advice ->
Slow down.
Work on only one blog at a time.
Read carefully.
Do things in a step by step way.
You’ll do fine. :) -
I’m having a similar issue with a new category I’ve just created in macro1avellaneda.wordpress.com . The category is called “Material Obligatorio” it isn’t showing perhaps because is a two word category? is that allowed?
-
The links suddenly appeard….after I group some other links into less categories. Which makes me believe that it has to do with the space allocated in the theme to show the blogroll, maybe. I’m not savvy in this issues.
Try grouping the links in less categories or try not showing some of them to isolate the issue. -
There shouldn’t be any issues with two word categories, or how many a theme displays; you define them in the blogroll, so you can add whatever you like. And I see the “Material Obligatorio” category just fine on your blog. Maybe try a refresh or clear your cache?

the sidebars get cached sometimes and take a few minutes to update. Don’t panic when it happens, just wait a while and reload the page.
