Blogroll notification?

Hey there! I am just curious if when someone ads you to your blogroll do you get some sort of notification of being added? I recently got added and only found out by accident (me seeing that I was in the person’s blogroll)…. and thought that maybe I must have missed the notification/sign/signal somewhere on my blog indicating that I got added or linked on a person’s blogroll (or maybe it says it somewhere on my dashboard that I am unable to notice?)…

You get no notification whatsoever. Sometimes you see clicks coming from there, but otherwise you’ll never know. That’s why I advise when you add someone to your blogroll that you click through it several times yourself, to sort of get their attention.

I must have just assumed that I will get somehow notified like how I get pingbacks/trackbacks in a similar way!

You’re welcome. One thing I’ve suggested to my clients (who pay me good money for this) is to do a “Welcome to the blogroll” post, because while hardly anyone clicks through a blogroll, they DO click on links in posts. Also, whoever you’re featuring will feel really warm towards you when you do a whole post about how fabulous and unmissable their blog is.
I’m only telling you that because you’ve been so nice in the forums. I should probably email it instead, but I’m a softie.

But jokes aside hehe… that is an excellent idea raincoaster…. I will utilise the idea and might make such a post soon!
