Blogroll page(s) on a WP hosted site

I know it’s been discussed before…
but I would REALLY love a LINKS page in my WP hosted site.
I know it’s posible with the self-hosted sites, but I’d love to see it for the WP hosted as well.I would want to add my own custom html at the top and then drag a “plugin” with links functionality onto the page too
(SImilar to the widgets, but for the content area not just the sidebar)
eg – “List All links from category 1 here”Maybe WP could include a few very stable “Plug-Ins” that you can activate or deactivate?

It would be cool if all themes has Links Templates. There are about 20 themes that do supply Links templates in case you aren’t aware of what they are and are interested see here > http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2009/03/25/archives-and-links-templates/ I made my own Links page It was easy to do. When I used Vigilance I put the links widget in the sidebar temporarily and copied and pasted into a static page saved and then I removed the widget. Now I use Inuit Types and I simply created a static Links page manually.

As far as using plugins on free hosted wordpress.com free hosted blogs IMO that’s not going to happen. There is no FTP access to free hosted WordPress.COM blogs and we cannot install plugins.
