Blogroll Vanished

  Okay my blogroll and list of other sites (not necessarily blogs) has disappeared and I have no idea what happened. I have not made any editing changes to that aspect of my blog recently. I looked at my widgets section and don’t see it way at the bottom where previously used widgets are stored with settings. Not there. Nor is there an option for me to start over as blogroll or link list is not available in the list of widgets.

  Has anyone else experienced this?

  same here. I was adding some new sites to my blogroll and now it won’t show up on my blog.

  First off, rebeccius and christiejanesmith, we need links to your blog when you ask questions here in the forum. We cannot look at your blog to help if we don’t have a link.

  WordPress has been working on updates to the widgets.

  Go to appearance > widgets, and if the “links” widget shows in the sidebar, click on the right end of the title bar for it and then click “remove.” Wait for the save to finish, and the go to the available widgets area and drag it back into the sidebar. Make sure and wait for the grey outlined box to appear and then release the mouse. Wait for it to save and then if necessary you can move it to a different location in the sidebar order. Go to your blog and it should be there for you.

  didn’t realize I needed to adjust a setting in order for my blog link to show up. thanks, that seems to have resolved the issue.

  You’re welcome.

  Normally working with widgets is pretty straight-forward, but with the updates going on, it is a little bumpy right now.

  I wasn’t sure if thesacredpath’s suggestion would work for me as the last time I looked the “links” widget was not in the widgets area – in the middle as unused or on my sidebar – but I just looked and found that I could add it again. It did the trick and now BOTH my blogroll and links are back. Thanks!

  Wish I could say the same. My blogroll widget disappeared not only from my blog, but from my widgets sidebar (admin page) as well as from the main list of widgets. It’s not even in the ‘unused widgets’ section at the bottom.

  Please help, someone.

  I had the same problem and corrected it through your solution. Scarey stuff when you’ve gone through such efforts to build the links.
