I want my blog posts to start with the older date first. and then go to the newest date. I don’t know how to do this and your support page was not helpful. https://en.support.wordpress.com/show-your-posts-in-chronological-order/#add-a-string-to-your-urls

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi,

The only one of the suggestions itemized on that support page that actually changes the order of posts on the blog page is “Alter the Publish Date.” It may not be practical if you’ve got hundreds of posts. What is the address (URL) of the site you are referring to? The site https://msovaco2.wordpress.com has no published posts.

Thanks. I counted 42 posts. If my count is accurate, then you’ll have to alter the published dates of 41 of them, and all future posts.

Steps to change the publish date of a post:
    1. At My Site (or My Sites > Site) click the “Blog Posts” item in the left sidebar menu to display the posts.
    2. Select a post for editing and click on the “Edit” link (pencil icon) to enter the post editor.
    3. Find the calendar icon at the right of the Update button, and click on it to display the calendar and time. Change the publish date and/or time, as desired.
    4. When you’ve completed the edits, click update.
    That’s it.

I want my blog posts to start with the older date first. and then go to the newest date.

Are you aware that doing so will increasingly make it more and more difficult for visitors to reach your latest posts on the homepage?

Unless they know a shortcut to go to the bottom. I’ve forgotten the key combinations for such shortcuts.

I’ll only have 43 posts. It’s for a school assignment and I want them to start at the beginning date of my project and go chronologically from the date I did something instead of when I posted it. thank you this is helpful!

    @ Veronica,

Because your question is unrelated to the present thread, which concerns the order of posts on the blog page, it would be best for you to start a new thread. You may start a new topic, here: https://en.forums.wordpress.com/?new=1.

The short answer is that under the best of circumstances it typically takes at least a couple of days before a new site is indexed by Google.
