I have recently <less than 4 hours ago> posted two new posts with tags. When I select one of the tags from the post, I am brought to the “Blogs About: My Tag” page. My problem is that I am not seeing my recent posts.

I have seen the recent trouble with tags and am wondering if I have done something incorrect?

Yes same here. I have noticed this too. I thought maybe I did something with the privacy settings or something on my account, but i checked and its all good. I also noticed that there haven’t been any new posts for 4 hours which is odd as there is always new posts constantly.
Maybe the site is down or something ? -
I didn’t change my privacy settings; don’t think its that. But if no new posts are coming in, I bet something is up with tags again.

Yeah I think you’re right, it’s not the privacy settings. What a bummer, made myself coffee to check out new posts from others but there aren’t any :(

@pino1968, Due to tag spammers, wordpress.COM has implemented a limit on the number of tags and categories you can use on post and still appear on the wordpress.COM tags pages. The limit is 12 (tags + categories). Example: 2 categories and 10 tags would be 12 – the limit. Your latest post has 13. The other posts, at least on the main page don’t seem to be over the limit from what I can see.
The other thing I see is that you have duplicate categories and tags such as “minimum wage”. That will also keep you off of the tags pages. Categories and tags are treated the same by the search engines and by the wordpress.COM global tags pages, so there is no reason to duplicate.

@kappii, Your blog is quite new. Your oldest post is Dec 20th. It takes a little while for new blogs to start showing up on the tags pages. You can thank spammers for the delay. Spammers have caused problems in the past, so wordpress.COM instituted the delay. Keep posting and in a short time your posts will begin showing up in the global tags pages.

But one thing I’m a little puzzled over, why aren’t there any new posts from other people for over 4 hours in wordpress.com ? This is a lil weird as there are always people posting all the time.And damn them spammers !!!

There is another thread that just started, and possibly there is something going on with the tags pages. I’ll have to do a test post and see if it shows up here in a few minutes.

Well I just put up a test post and it showed up right away. I’m not sure what is going on. Perhaps the tags you looked at just haven’t been used in the last 4 hours.

hmmm very odd. I have just gone through the popular tags like music, life, politics and so on (ok, I pretty much went through all of them). But when I go in them they have posts that are all 5 hours old, no new ones. Maybe no one has done any postings but that just seems odd. I’ll check back later tonight.

There could be a slowdown in post appearing if wordpress is going server maintenance, or backups, or rolling out some updates. I would give it a few more hours and see what happens.

All,
I think this has been resolved. Remove all tags/cats and save post. Then go back and re cat/tag them. Save again. Should be working then.
